The stream still carries real flash-flood risk in heavy rain, and homes along Woodlawn, East Mānoa Road, and the lower valley remain the ones to watch when the Kona rains come.

Homes along the lower valley and near the stream corridor carry a different risk profile than those on the higher slopes.
